DROP & GO PROGRAM DATES AND INFORMATION
All residents are strongly encouraged to participate in this program. By utilizing this program residents can avoid the hassle, traffic, and limited time frame in which to unload their vehicles on Move-In Day.

Your specific Drop & Go date was outlined in your assignment email, but is also outlined below. You are only permitted to participate on your scheduled date. This program will occur on the dates below, rain or shine. You may arrive at any time during the program, but the building will close promptly at 8:00 PM. The start and end times are not negotiable.

Arrival to Campus & Where to Park
o For North Campus communities, parking is available in D lot (in front of Lawrence Center and University Hall), K lot (behind Sykes Student Union), or in the New Street Parking Structure (corner of New Street and W. Nield’s Street).
o For South Campus communities, parking is available in your community. Additional parking is available in Q lot, by Farrell Stadium. Please park in designated parking spaces near your community and walk to your check-in location.

Check-In
o Allegheny Hall residents should proceed to the West entrance of Allegheny Hall, which faces the Residential Quad, to check-in at the Front Desk.
o Brandywine Hall residents should proceed to the South entrance, which faces Wayne Hall, to check-in at the Front Desk.
o Commonwealth Hall residents should proceed to the East entrance, which faces Brandywine Hall, to check-in at the Front Desk.
o University Hall residents should proceed to the breezeway entrance, to check-in in the 1st floor lobby.
o The Village Apartments residents should proceed to the Village Clubhouse, after parking at your building.
o East Village Apartments residents should proceed to the East Village Lounge (Building 14), after parking at your building.

What to Expect When You Check-In
o The student will check-in at the front desk of the assigned community during the program to complete check-in documents and obtain a temporary key for access to the suite.
o Please bring a picture ID to the Drop & Go program, to be held as collateral until your temporary access key is returned.
o You will not be permitted to participate in Drop & Go unless you have paid your semester invoice or temporary monthly installment, if you are a qualified financial aid recipient, and, have completed all required leasing documents.
o We will not be able to provide access to any suites prior to the scheduled check-in time.
o Please be aware that, unlike Move-In Day, the drivable sidewalks are not available and we will not be providing volunteers to help unload your vehicle. We will have a limited number of hand trucks and laundry carts available for your use. USH encourages you to bring your own hand truck, if possible.

What to Expect While In the Building
o After checking in, students may then begin to take their items up to their suite.
o USH encourages residents to bring all items that will be needed in the room.
o USH will have a snack station located on the first-floor lounge or other designated check-in location. There you will be able to find light refreshments and a staff member who will help answer any questions.
o University Student Housing will have staff located throughout the building, so please contact one of our representatives if you have questions or concerns.

Check-Out
o Return the temporary key to the check-in area to receive the picture ID used for collateral back no later than 8:00 PM.

APPROVED EARLY ARRIVALS
Pre-approved early arrivals for athletic or other extracurricular activities have been arranged by those coaches, employers, and on-campus directors. Students to whom this applies will receive information about early move-in at the beginning of August. No other early arrivals will be accepted.

FIRST-YEAR STUDENT MOVE-IN – FRIDAY, AUGUST 26, 2016
Incoming first-year students are the only students permitted to move-in on this date. You may move into your suite based on the floor schedule provided below for your assigned community. This is a strict schedule. In order to accommodate all residents and their families on Move-In Day, we must adhere to these procedures. Please plan to arrive at the designated time for your floor. Late arrivals will be accommodated at the end of the move-in period in which they arrive.

Arrival To Campus
o Residents of Allegheny Hall, Brandywine Hall and Commonwealth Hall should arrive at D lot by turning onto University Avenue from High Street and following signage to the USH staging area. Please utilize the map available at www.wcuhousing.com.
o Cars will be lined up according to the community in the parking lot. Please follow signage for your assigned community.
o Each vehicle will be provided the approved parking hangtag upon entrance to the Staging Area. Only vehicles that have the approved hang tag will be permitted to proceed to the Unloading Zones. There is a limit of two (2) hang tags per resident.
o Once USH has verified that your rent has been paid and all leasing documents have been completed, a staff member will release vehicles to enter the Unloading Zones via the drivable sidewalk. You will not be permitted to participate in Move-In Day unless you have paid your semester invoice or temporary monthly installment if you are a qualified financial aid recipient and completed all required leasing documents.

Unloading Zone
o No vehicle in the Unloading Zone may be left unattended at any time for any duration of time. A driver will need to remain with the car, with the keys in the ignition at all times. For this reason, the student cannot be the driver.
o Each party will be permitted ten (10) minutes to unload any belongings from their vehicle and exit the Unloading Zone. We understand that this is a brief period of time, but we have over 1500 students moving into the communities in one day. Our system is designed to accommodate everyone.
o Vehicles are not permitted to drive anywhere except the designated drivable sidewalk surface. Please do not drive in the lawn areas or on any other unapproved surface.
o USH staff and volunteers will be available to assist with unloading cars and ensuring that your belongings arrive to your suite. A limited number of carts will be available. USH encourages all residents to label boxes and other belongings with the student name and room number.

Check-In
o While the vehicle is being unloaded, the student will be directed to check-in in the Multipurpose Room of the assigned community to check-in, retrieve keys, receive the Move-In Booklet, complete paperwork, and any other distributed information.
o You will not be permitted to participate in Move-In Day unless you have paid your semester invoice or temporary monthly installment if you are a qualified financial aid recipient and completed all required leasing documents.

Parking & Courtesy Shuttle Service
o After being dismissed from the Unloading Zone, you will be directed to park in a specific parking lot on campus.
o Residents of Allegheny Hall and Brandywine Hall are directed to park in M lot.
o Residents of Commonwealth Hall are directed to park in Q lot.
o A map and directions are provided to you on the reverse of your vehicle hang tag.
o USH will provide a courtesy shuttle service from each parking lot back to North Campus from 7:30 AM-6:00 PM.
o The shuttle to and from M lot (Allegheny Hall and Brandywine Hall) will run between M lot and Church Street (by the Septa and WCU bus stop in front of Hollinger Field House).
o The shuttle to and from Q lot (Commonwealth Hall) will run between Q lot and the corner of W. Nields Street and S. New Street (by the New Street Parking Garage).

RETURNING & TRANSFER STUDENT MOVE-IN – SATURDAY, AUGUST 27, 2016

Returning students and incoming transfer students are permitted to check-in at the assigned community between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 27, 2016. You will not be permitted to check-in prior to 9:00 AM.

Please note that returning students may also check-in on Sunday, August 28, 2016 beginning at 10:00 AM, though USH staff will not be available that day to assist residents. USH offices will re-open on Monday, August 29, 2016.

o USH will provide a courtesy shuttle service on South Campus for residents of the Village Apartments and East Village Apartments from 10:00 AM- 6:00 PM.
o The shuttle to and from Q lot will run between Q lot and various stops throughout the Village Apartments, East Village Apartments, and South Campus Apartments.
o A courtesy shuttle will not be available for North Campus on Saturday, August 23, 2014.
