West Chester University and University Student Housing, LLC, understand the uncertainties presented by the COVID-19 epidemic as it relates to on-campus housing. In the event that on-campus residential facilities close before or during the Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 semester due to COVID-19, both the University and USH are committed to providing students with refunds for the unused portions of the semester during which housing is unavailable.

The COVID 19 Pandemic is unprecedented. We continue to acknowledge the challenges it poses to our students and their families. We thank you in advance for your continued patience.

Application fees paid to USH for affiliated housing remain non-refundable, but if on-campus housing closes before the start of the fall semester the application fee would be applied to a future lease term.
We know this is an unprecedented time of uncertainty and anxiety for our residents. We also know that many of our residents and their parents are suffering from job losses, furloughs and reduced hours. Fortunately, we are here to work with you and have committed to earmarking $445,000 in USH Housing Scholarships for financial hardships awarded through the Office of Financial Aid for the upcoming academic year. Please complete the University Student Housing Scholarship application here: https://bit.ly/3ad4tr2 in order to be considered for a one-time award. Please note that, if selected, the majority of these awards will be for $1000 per semester. Therefore, if you still need additional financing we encourage you to consider either a parent PLUS loan (which parents can apply for starting May 1st at studentaid.gov) or a private education loan (wcupa.edu/privateloans).
If you need to cancel your lease agreement we recommend doing so before July 15, 2020, to avoid a lease termination fee. We cannot guarantee that you will be released from your lease agreement but recommend you cancel as early as possible to ensure a qualified replacement is found. We ask that you complete the following form so we can work to accommodate your request: Early Lease Termination Request Form
